Actifed is a medicine used to relieve symptoms associated with colds, flu and allergies, such as nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing and watery eyes. Each tablet contains two active ingredients: Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride (60 mg): a decongestant that relieves nasal congestion by reducing swelling in the nasal passages. Triprolidine hydrochloride (2.5 mg): an antihistamine that reduces allergy symptoms such as sneezing and runny nose.
Dosage :
The tablets should be taken orally with a glass of water. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Contraindications :
Actifed is contraindicated in the following cases:
Hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients.
Patients taking or have taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) in the last two weeks.
Patients with severe hypertension or cardiovascular disease.
Diabetes mellitus.
Hyperthyroidism.
Angle-closure glaucoma.
Severe kidney disease.

Warnings :
Actifed may cause drowsiness. It is advisable to avoid driving or operating machinery while taking this medicine.
Avoid alcohol consumption during treatment.
